The Friends of the Hurley Library
Across America, many public libraries are established through the efforts of community members who understand the value of libraries to their community and also understand that libraries need community support to survive. With this in mind, several volunteers have met for the sole purpose of establishing The Friends of the Hurley Library, a not-for-profit group, that will work with the library board to support common goals.
Its main objectives are:
- To stimulate community awareness and use of the library
- To sponsor and support library special programs and community events that promote literacy and education
- To enrich the library’s resources through fundraising
