The Friends of the Hurley Library

Across America, many public libraries are established through the efforts of community members who understand the value of libraries to their community and also understand that libraries need community support to survive.  With this in mind, several volunteers have met for the sole purpose of establishing The Friends of the Hurley Library, a not-for-profit group, that will work with the library board to support common goals.

Its main objectives are:

  • To stimulate community awareness and use of the library
  • To sponsor and support library special programs and community events that promote literacy and education
  • To enrich the library’s resources through fundraising

To join the Friends of the Hurley Library, print out and fill in the Membership Form. Forms are also available at the Circulation Desk.  Please place your donation and this form in a sealed envelope and leave it at the circulation desk or mail it to the library at PO Box 99, Hurley NY 12443. Please be sure to make the check payable to Friends of the Hurley Library.
