BUILD A DINO

THIS PROGRAM IS FOR KIDS AGED 7 AND UP! Calling all young paleontologists and builders! Come to the library to assemble your own wooden dinosaur by putting together a 3D puzzle model. Kids will build, create, and take home their prehistoric masterpiece.

CRACKING GEODES

THIS PROGRAM IS FOR KIDS AGED 8 AND UP! Get ready to uncover a hidden treasure! Participants will learn a little bit about geodes and then crack open their own geode to reveal the crystal formations inside.

WORM PUPPETS

THIS PROGRAM IS FOR KIDS AGED 5 AND UP, WITH CAREGIVER ASSISTANCE! Get ready to wiggle into some creative fun! Participants will make a silly, colorful worm puppet using pom poms, a popsicle stick, and needle and thread. Once finished, your wiggly worm can slither into imaginative play at home or be put on display. 

BURIED TREASURE STORYTIME

DINO-MITE PAINT AND SIP

Get ready for a dino-mite painting adventure! In this fun and beginner-friendly class, kids will learn how to paint their very own colorful dinosaur scene step by step. Along the way, we’ll explore cool painting tricks, mix bright prehistoric colors, and bring our Jurassic friend to life on canvas.

BUG HOTELS

THIS PROGRAM IS FOR KIDS AGED 6 AND UP! Give our tiny backyard neighbors a nice place to stay! In this program, participants will build and decorate the base of their very own bug hotel using cardboard and craft materials.

MINI MUD PIES

REGISTRATION REQUIRED!!
THIS PROGRAM IS FOR KIDS AGED 7 AND UP! Get ready to dig into some delicious fun! In this hands-on food craft program, participants will build their own mini “mud pies” inspired by classic Mississippi mud pies.

VOLCANO LAB

REGISTRATION REQUIRED!!
THIS PROGRAM IS FOR KIDS AGED 6 AND UP! Young scientists will experiment with classic baking soda volcano reactions. We’ll investigate fizz, foam, and flow while having fun with messy science experiments.

Yearly Summer Reading Program
The benefits to readers in a summer reading program include:

  • The encouragement that reading become a lifelong habit
  • Reluctant readers can be drawn in by the activities
  • Reading over the summer helps children keep their skills up
  • The program can generate interest in the library and books
  • And it being summer, the program can just be good fun and provide an opportunity for family time.

Weekly D&D Program for Tween & Teens, but all ages are welcome. 
Playing D&D 5th edition in an ongoing campaign run by a Dungeon Master with 40 years of experience.  All ages are welcome.
