Look up at the sky, all around – you hear them, you see them…… the fabulous birds of the Hudson Valley, Come and hear the book “Rainbow Crow”, then analyze the wonderful sculptures of artist Pablo Picasso. See his fantastic ceramic owls he made! Finally, we will delve into the the techniques of sculpting our own OWLS. This is a family project where parents, children even grandparents can participate together.. Children’s ages can be 5-12 years of age, accompanied by an adult. Of course siblings can come too! Exploring Connections between Art and Children’s Literature.
Through the grant from Arts Mid Hudson and Hurley Library, participants in this exciting and innovative
program will discover art with children’s literature like never before. We will delve into artistic techniques using a variety of unusual mediums to
capture your mind’s spirit. Family members come away with a series of inventive art pieces to treasure because you made them yourselves.
Come to our series on Nov. 7th and 14th, from 4:30 pm-6 pm
Ages for children, with an adult can range from 5-12.
Grandparents are encouraged to come too! As we would love 3 generations from the same family to attend and enjoy this
experience
