StarLab Planetarium

Friday June 28 at 6:30 pm

Hurley Library is excited to kickoff this years theme – A Universe of Stories with a traveling planetarium at the Hurley Reformed Church! Enter our inflatable planetarium to explore seasonal constellations and learn fun facts like, why Polaris, the North Star, never seems to move. Gaze up at a clear starry night while our educator tells about the wonders of it all. Because of limited capacity, reservations are required call 845-338-2092 or stop in to sign up.

Adult Craft

In partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension, Janie Greenwald will discuss ways of cutting our carbon footprint in out home kitchen. There will be an exchange of ideas on how to save money and help the planet. A planet friendly snack will be served. Stop by the library or call 845-338-2092 to sign-up.

This is a fundraising event for the library. Bring your treasures, and for $5 a piece, have them appraised by the best in the biz!

Healthy Living For Your Brain and Body

An education program by the Alzheimer’s Association

Wednesday May 15 @ 11 am

For centuries, we’ve known that the health of the brain and body are connected. But now, science is able to provide insights into how to make lifestyle choices that may help you keep your brain and body healthy as you age.  Join us to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement.  Use hands-on tools to help incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.  Stop in or call the library at 845-338-2092 to sign-up.
