About the Library:

The mission of the Hurley Library is to provide access to information via many and varied media sources including print and electronic sources with emphasis on children’s programs and books, adult recreational books, and programs encouraging adult reading. The Hurley Library is chartered to primarily serve the residents of districts 2, 4, 6, and 8 of the Town of Hurley. In addition, it does offer support services to any cardholding member of the Mid-Hudson Library System.

Board of Trustees:

Diana Cline, Kelli Cooper, Robert Dido, Susan Dugan (Vice President), Susan Mason, Judy Mayhon, Jenifer Meyer, Arlene Ryan (President), and John Shults.

The Board of Trustees is happy to welcome Lynne “Asha” Golliher to the Hurley community as the new director of Hurley Library. Ms. Golliher comes to the library from her previous position as Outreach Librarian at Ellenville Public Library & Museum, where she worked for 10 years. Asha is a lifelong advocate of libraries and is currently on the Board of Cornell Cooperative Extension, Ulster County, and a member of the Digital Advisory Committee at Southeastern New York Library Resources Council. She lives in Accord with her husband Jeff and their coon hound Amos.
