The Hurley Library will hold its annual trustee election and budget approval vote on Thursday, October 15, 2020 between the hours of 4 pm and 7 pm. Voting will take place at the Hurley Library, 48 MAIN Street, in Hurley. Absentee ballots are available at the library.
All registered voters in the Hurley districts 2,4,6 and 8 are eligible to vote.
Three candidates, Ashley Davidock, Wendy Hennessy and John Shults are running for election for one seat to a four-year term.
A tax levy of $185,269 is up for approval. This represents an increase of 4% to cover increased cleaning supplies, services, materials, and minimum wage increases. This increase will amount to an estimated increase of $4.96 per year based on a home assessed at $200,000.
